Pflugerville, Texas, operates in a deregulated energy market, giving residents the power to choose their electricity provider. This means that residents can select from various electricity plans and energy companies to find the most affordable electricity plan their needs. With numerous electricity providers serving the area, residents can compare Pflugerville electricity rates and plans to find the most affordable option. To get started, residents can enter their zip code to view current Pflugerville electricity rates and plans.
Texas legislature approved energy deregulation in 2002 creating the path for competitive energy costs. As a deregulated electricity market, the state’s retail energy providers would need to compete - against each other - for the millions of Texas residential and business customers. The goal of a deregulated, or competitive energy market, is to give the power to choose to the consumer – which forced Pflugerville electricity companies to be more efficient and offer the cheapest electricity rates. Going forward, the home and business customers of energy suppliers would have the ability to switch to a new energy provider (at the end of each contract) to maintain the advantage of the deregulated market.
Texas has a very healthy market in the new era of competition under energy deregulation. Residents and businesses can shop for electricity plans from a wide array of energy suppliers and shop for the best rate available. This means less money in the pockets of energy companies and more for you.
How do you get the best deal on an electricity plan? We analyzed and digested hundreds of thousands of data points from utilities and suppliers and determined the most basic action you can take is to be proactive.
Simply by shopping suppliers and rates 6 months before your plan is set to renew can help you save 20% or more on your energy costs. Furthermore, we found that, depending on market conditions and usage, you're likely to save by switching electric suppliers every 12 to 24 months.
Pflugerville businesses can find big savings in the Texas energy market with just a little bit of due diligence. Since energy suppliers are forced to be more efficient and offer business energy plans with competitive energy rates, it’s up to you to compare and find the best commercial electricity plans.
But finding the right plan can be difficult. In Texas, rates change daily by zip code. And with dozens of commercial energy suppliers, that means sifting through hundreds of plans.
This has made comparing energy plans confusing due to the sheer number of plans available, promotional rates that are not apples-to-apples and the legal fine print that details fees and penalties. However, commercial energy customers can maintain control over the process by reviewing their monthly usage and average monthly electricity bill.
If your average business energy bill is less than $500 per month, then you can get a very good energy rate for your business through a simple online comparison of energy rates.
If your average commercial monthly bill is $500 or more per month, then you will most likely get a more competitive energy rate through a custom quote process. The custom process is exactly that – by providing basic business information, energy usage and submitting a recent electricity bill – EnergyBot can leverage partnerships with suppliers to work on your behalf and secure the best energy rate for your business. Although it will take more time to complete, the custom quote process may deliver a lower energy rate that will add up to big savings for your business.
For Pflugerville businesses, researching energy rates and switching to a new electricity plan can be a hassle. EnergyBot is built to make energy simple and help businesses find the best electricity rate quickly and easily.

Since the year 2000 Pflugerville city has made a significant investment into its renewable energy efforts, with a $200m investment from Panasonic Corp to build the Pflugerville solar farm. This farm has been specially designed to provide all location residents with consistent renewable energy throughout the year and carry the economy of the city into the future.
This has resulted in additional investment from a number of green energy companies as part of a long term economic strategy. A newly formed company, Renewable Property Group LLC, who are an affiliate of Round Rock based Renewable Resource Consultants, recently bought 6 acres within Pflugerville Renewable Energy Park for $600,000. They will begin with 4,000 square feet of office space for Renewable Resource Consultants, a company that overlooks the design and implementation of wind energy.

Pflugerville energy providers offer rates and plans in Pflugerville Texas with a range of options and terms. While you will see many types of plans for the most part they are in two categories: fixed-rate and variable rate.
Fixed-rate plans will have a set price for the term of the contract. Regardless of weather, natural events, or market volatility, your rate will not change. In most cases, fixed-rate plans have a term length of 6, 12, 24, or 36 months. We recommend fixed-rate plans for most customers.
Variable-rate plan rates may change on a monthly basis based on market factors. Variable-rate plans offer more flexibility but present more volatility in pricing. Price changes may impact your monthly electricity bill in the form of price hikes. In most cases, we do not recommend variable-rate plans.

Pflugerville is a medium-sized city located in Travis County, Texas. A small portion of the city is located in Williamson Country, although the majority of the city is within Travis County. In 2010, a census reported a population of 46,936 which increased to 64,421 in 2018.
The city is located about fifteen miles north of the Colorado River. It was originally founded in 1860 when a man named William Bohls established a general store and post office in the area, naming the town after Henry Pfluger. Pfluger arrived in the area in 1849, leaving his home in order to escape the Prussian War. A school was developed in the town in 1872 and a Lutheran church in 1875. During the 1890s a railroad was developed in the area which resulted in the population doubling.
In 1957, early 1958, there was a discussion over incorporating the town. In June 1965 the town was incorporated and has since become a popular business hub among local residents.
From 2003 to 2014, the City Council of Pflugerville lowered the rate of property tax in order to tackle increasing sales tax in the area. This significantly increased investment in real estate within the area.
One of the major business hubs in the city is Stone Hill Town Center. This includes a wide number of different local and global businesses, including Home Depot, Best Buy, SuperTarget, At Home, Bealls, Dick's Sporting Goods, PETCO, Ross Dress for Less, Office Depot, 24 Hour Fitness, Cinemark Theatres, and a St. David's HealthCare 24-hour emergency care facility. This area is closely connected to the Austin Executive Airport as well as SH 130 which has attracted many new businesses as well as new recruitment opportunities to the area.
As well as the Stone Hill Town Center, the city was focused on retail, with two main retailers; Albertson's grocery store and H-E-B grocery store which is located east of the downtown. With increased infrastructure as well as additional green energy plans, the city is on its way to an economic boom over the next decade.

EFLs are required for all residential plans in Texas. Some other states in deregulated areas may have some form of EFL as well.
The purpose of an EFL is to provide transparency, ensuring consumers have the necessary information to make informed decisions about their current electricity provider, and plan. Always check the EFL to understand the full details of what you're signing up for.
An Energy Provider or Retail Energy Provider (REP) is a company that purchases wholesale electricity from electricity generators and sells it to consumers. They often offer various plans and rates. While you can choose your energy provider in a deregulated market, you cannot choose your utility as it is determined by your geographical location.
The best way to report a power outage, downed line, streetlight outage, or other similar issues is to use their online portal. If you have a different type of question or general inquery you can call them directly at 888-313-6862.
