The City of Lakewood is promoting energy efficiency by providing rebates for attic insulation installed in existing single-family and duplex homes in Lakewood. Only do-it-yourself projects in which the homeowner installs the insulation are eligible for rebates, and the insulation must be upgraded to at least R-38. A free building permit must be obtained from the City of Lakewood before the insulation is installed and the installation must be inspected by the city before the homeowner can submit the rebate form. Original receipts must be submitted with the completed rebate form.
