The Colorado Springs Utilities (CSU) Energy Efficient Builder Program offers an incentive to builders who construct ENERGY STAR, National Green Building Standard (NGBS), Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) or Passive House (one bonus per home) qualified homes within the CSU service area. The incentives range from $200 to $5,550 per home. ENERGY STAR qualified homes are designed to deliver improved comfort, healthier air quality, longer durability, and lower energy bills. Incentives are awarded after a third-party verification is completed. Builders must follow all program guidelines outlined on the program web site. For more information, builders should contact Colorado Springs Utilities.
