Eagle County provides incentives for solar energy systems to be installed on new and existing homes. Rebates of $1 per watt, up to $2,000, are available for photovoltaic (PV) systems. Solar thermal systems are eligible for rebates of 50% of the system cost up to $4,000. If utility rebates are also being claimed for the same system, the comined incentives can not amount to more than 50% of the total system cost. Additional requirements are in place. Please see program website for complete details.
This program is funded using money collected through the ECO-Build Program.
