The Sustainable Rebuilding Program, run by the Colorado Energy Office, offers grants and loans to homeowners, owners of residential rental property, and businesses who need to rebuild their properties after a natural disaster. The program specifically provides funding for high performing, energy efficient, and resilient homes and structures. The grants and loans can be used to fund installation of high-efficiency heat pumps, renewable energy generation, battery storage, and electric vehicle charging stations. The money can also be used for products to achieve advanced energy certifications from federal programs and to brings buildings up-to-date with the most recent energy building code. The Colorado Energy Office can expand eligible uses of the funding as it sees fit.
