The City of Tallahassee Utilities offers a rebate for 80% of the installation costs of ceiling insulation, up to a maximum City contribution of $400. The efficiency rating of the new insulation must be R38 if the home is heated by a natural gas furnace, oil furnace or electric heat pump and R49 if the home is heated by a central electric resistance furnace.
