Kauai Electric - Residential Solar Water Heating Program

Summary

Kauai Electricâ€™s Residential Energy Wise Program began in 1998. The program is a comprehensive direct install program that includes a home visit to install energy devices like energy saving shower heads, aerators, temp reduction, tank insulation, and compact fluorescent lamps. Among other services, the program offers rebates for installing new solar water heaters. All customers with an existing electric water heater and customers building new single family residences qualify for a flat $800 rebate.
