The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality provides funds to replace or retrofit eligible diesel vehicles with new diesel engines, alternate fueled engines (propane, compressed natural gas), or all electric engines. These incentives come from funding from the Volkswagen (VW) Settlement and the Diesel Emission Reduction Act grant funds. In 2020, these funds replaced a total of 75 vehicles which had a combined value of $16.1 million.
