Summary

As part of the state's 1997 electric utility restructuring legislation, Illinois established provisions for the disclosure of fuel mix and emissions data. All electric utilities and alternative retail electric suppliers must provide details of their fuel mix and emissions to customers within bills on a quarterly basis. This information is also posted to the Illinois Commerce Commission's website.
