Paulding-Putnam Electric Cooperative (PPEC) is a member-owned electric distribution cooperative that provides electric service to more than 12,500 customers in Indiana and Ohio. PPEC offers account-credit rebates for water heaters and HVAC equipment for its residential customers. To be eligible for all rebates, customers are required to additionally install a Radio Control Switch that must remain operational for five years following installation. For new construction or for a replacement of an existing fossil-fuel water heater, customers can receive incentives on water heaters between $350-$450, with a minimum size of 50 gallons. All HVAC equipment, including geothermal systems, air-source heat pumps, and central air conditioners, have a rebate amount of $300 and are only available for new construction. Upon completion of the installation, the installer will complete the proper application and mail it to PPEC, after which the consumer will then be contacted to set an appointment for inspection.
