Chicopee Electric Light - Commercial Energy Efficiency Rebate Program

Summary

Chicopee Electric Light Department (CELD) is participating in the NextZero Commercial & Industrial Incentive Program to encourage non-residential, commercial, and industrial facilities to pursue energy saving measures and install energy efficient lighting and equipment in eligible facilities. CELD offers technical assistance, incentives, and low-interest financing through this program.

Incentives are provided for lighting upgrades, HVAC upgrades, new construction projects, and custom measures. The maximum rebate available is generally $25,000 per customer, per year. Variable Refrigerant Flow Multi Split Heat Pump Systems: $175 per ton
Variable Refrigerant Flow Multi-Split Air Conditioning Systems: $175 per ton
Custom: Varies (capped at $25,000 per year)
Maximum Incentive: $25,000 per business, per year.
CEL reserves the right to increase this cap for large users of over 1.5 million kWh per year.
Installation Requirements: Pre-approval is required for incentives over $2,500
