Energy Conservation Improvement Program

Summary

The Energy Conservation Improvement Program (ECIP) provides grants to public schools to fund capital improvements that reduce energy consumption and help cut energy costs. After an energy audit performed by the Department of Energy Resources, grant funds are disbursed to the school from state bond funds. The improvements focus on lighting, boilers and energy control measures, but can include other measures not listed, if the intent is to improve energy efficiency.
