The Energy Optimization Program provides residential electric incentives for the following Michigan utilities: Alger-Delta Coop Electric Assn City of Escanaba City of Marquette City of Stephenson Cloverland Electric Coop Great Lakes Energy Coop Midwest Energy Cooperative Newberry Water & Light Board Ontonagon County R E A Presque Isle Electric & Gas Coop Thumb Electric Coop of Mich HomeWorks/Tri-County Electric Coop Any single eligible utility can choose which of the available programs to offer to its customers. The incentives above are not available in every service area. Energy Optimization also offers Energy Depot, a set of online tools and resources to help manage home energy use and costs. Energy Depot is a free home energy audit; homeowners can quickly estimate the annual energy use and cost of home energy systems and appliances. The Michigan Public Clean, Renewable, and Efficient Energy Act (Public Act 295) passed in October 2008 provided original authorization to create these energy efficiency programs.
