Columbia Water & Light - Residential Energy Efficiency Incentives (Including Home Performance with Energy Star)

Summary

Columbia Water & Light (CWL) provides residential customers with a variety of incentive programs to increase energy efficiency in homes.

The following programs are available:

Home Performance With Energy Star: This is a national program designed to bring your home up to Energy Star standards. A certified contractor will perform an assessment of your home to show you ways to save on your energy costs.

Electric Vehicle Charge Rebates: CWL offers rebates for Level 2 Electric Vehicle Chargers for both retrofits and new home construction.

Attic Plus Rebates: Rebates for insulation improvements are available to residential electric customers whose homes may not be eligible for Home Performance rebates.

Income-Qualifying Programs: These programs help City of Columbia citizens get the energy they need. With these programs, you can benefit or help others benefit by donating small sums of money.

Reducing ductwork leakage: Up to $300 in rebates.
Reducing air leakage: Up to $420 in rebates.
Replacing windows and doors: Up to $500 in rebates.
Adding insulation: Up to $500 in rebates.

Starting R-Value Less than R-26: $0.01 x insulated sq ft x added R-Value
Starting R-Value More than R-26: $0.005 x insulated sq ft x added R-Value

Residential EV charger rebates
50% of the project cost up to $500

Income-Qualifying Programs:
There is a cap of $2,400 on the free energy efficiency improvements. Additional funding from other resources might be available for some home improvements.
