Owners of renewable generation with a capacity between 25 kilowatts (kW) and 100 kW are allowed to parallel qualified facilities with Lincoln Electric System (LES) and sell energy to LES at the Renewable Generation Rate. Positive net energy delivered to the Customer in a billing period will immediately disqualify this service from continuing to receive this Renewable Generation Rate. Such disqualification will cause this service to be billed at the applicable retail rate and energy delivered to LES will be credited at the Small Power Production rate.
Customer billing, metering, connection, and distribution facilities charges totaling $40.25 per bill will apply; however, customer-generators may be eligible for a one-time capacity payment.
Incentive Amount
At the end of the billing period, LES will net the metered energy which was delivered to LES and the metered energy which was supplied by LES. The net energy delivered to LES in a billing period will be purchased by LES at the appropriate Renewable Generation Rate – Tier Energy Payment.
The Tier 1 Energy Payment is given above and will apply until total customer renewable energy generation on LES exceeds 1 megawatt (MW), at which point the offered rate will be 50% of the Tier 1 Energy Payment (i.e., “Tier 2”). Once total customer renewable energy generation on LES exceeds 2 MW, new renewable generation installed will be eligible for an Energy Payment equivalent to the representative renewable energy avoided cost (i.e., “Tier 3”).
