Summary

Unitil offers New Hampshire residential customers a number of programs to encourage more energy efficient homes. Forms and details for each program are available on the website listed above.

The Energy Star Appliance Program provides rebates for swimming pool pumps, clothes dryers, clothes washers, refrigerators, dehumidifiers, room air purifiers, and room air conditioners.

The Energy Star Heating and Cooling Program offers rebates for central air conditioners, heat pumps, mini split systems, and heat pump water heaters. Rebates are also available for wi-fi thermostats accompanying a qualifying heat pump.

The Home Performance with Energy Star Program helps residential customers improve the energy efficiency of qualified homes. Customers may qualify for a complete home energy audit and receive recommendations for improving the energy efficiency of participating homes. The program provides rebates up to $4,000 and includes incentives for installing energy savings improvements, such as attic and building insulation, air sealing, improving heating and cooling systems, installing renewable energy systems, and upgrading lighting, appliances, and water heating equipment.

Incentives are also available through the Energy Star Homes/Residential New Construction Program for residential new construction. This program offers rebates for achieving certain levels of efficiency and for installing energy efficient appliances.

Maximum Incentive:	New home construction program $4,000 NH Home Performance with ENERGY STAR Program. Fuel-neutral weatherization program offers participants a comprehensive “whole house” assessment of their homes. The assessment is an energy and safety evaluation of your home that includes a visual inspection of lighting and appliances as well as performance testing of the ventilation and mechanical systems, building tightness, and insulation levels that will result in recommended energy efficiency improvements. Based on recommendations made by your auditor, you may be eligible for a 50% rebate up to $6,000 to help you pay for these improvements.
