Funding from the Volkswagen settlement is available for the diesel vehicle and equipment replacement projects and for electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE). The program includes projects for local freight and port drayage trucks; school, shuttle, and transit buses; freight switchers (currently no programs); ferries/tugs; local freight trucks; airport ground support equipment (currently under development); forklifts and port cargo handling equipment; light duty zero emission vehicle supply equipment; and a diesel emission reduction act option.
