The utility recommends but does not require the system to be certified by the Solar Rating and Certification Corporation (SRCC)* and installed by a North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) installer.
*The federal government requires solar water heating systems to be SRCC certified in order to qualify for the 30% federal tax credit
