Ethanol and Biodiesel producers can receive grants of 20 cents per gallon for the first 18 million gallons produced per year for the first ten years of production. The program is funded through a 3.2 cents per gallon fee from producers; fees are matched by 5.25 times with general revenue funds. Thus the net grant amount is 16.8 cents per gallon. Biodiesel must meet ASTM standards.
