Cedarburg Light and Water Utility (CLWU) provides loans for commercial, industrial and agricultural customers to increase the energy efficiency of eligible facilities. Loans are meant to provide the up-front capital, based on expected savings, needed for many energy retrofit projects. Projects may include any new electrical energy-saving or demand-reducing measure that results in lasting impacts for the facility. A 2% annual fee, compounded monthly, is included in the payments. All projects must meet our minimum energy efficiency requirements for consideration for Shared Savings funding. Customers must have at least a three-year, clean payment history with the utility in order to be eligible. A full credit review will be performed prior to attainment of Shared Savings funding. To discover whether a business qualifies for an incentive, customers should contact an Energy Services Representative at CLWU for more information
Wisconsin Focus on Energy offers other financial incentives to eligible business customers for installing qualifying energy efficiency measures. These measures include a variety of technologies including energy efficient lighting, motors, compressed air, and HVAC equipment.
